1.03.2011:
Our Horse Heaven Hills Series continues to show well against other Washington wines. We have been blessed again with another 1st Place in a head to head taste-off. In a blind tasting of twenty top-tier Washington State Cabernet Sauvignons the 2003 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet topped them all.

11.20.2010:
We were pleased to discover that our 2003 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon and 2004 Horse Heaven Hills Merlot took 1st Place in a comparative taste-off. Our wines were matched against some of the finest Washington State Cabs and Merlots (all of which had price points between $56.00 and $163.00.) 

03.28.2010:
We just got back from the Taste of Washington event. What a great experience. We had a fun time meeting and spending time with many wonderful people. The Hood Canal Wineries booth was packed all evening. Thanks to all of you who tasted our wines and provided all the positive feedback. The hits of the night seemed to be our 2002 Cab Franc and the 2004 Merlot.

02.15.2010:
Plans are moving forward for our latest event. The Spring Runoff event here in Mason County. This event will feature wines from local wineries. Included in the event are Walter Dacon, Hoodsport, Mosquito Fleet and us, of course.The Spring Runoff will last the entire month of April.

05.30.2009:
We welcome a new addition to the South Sound wine community. Mosquito Fleet Winery just became our newest bonded winery.

11.16.2008:
We just completed our 20Something event. We thank all those who attended and wish you well in all future wine related adventures.

11.12.2008:
One bottle of our 2002 Cabernet just sold at auction for $450. This full featured Cab from some of the oldest vines in Washington was one of our best efforts early on. We are very proud of all the accolades this wines has received.

Our name has changed from McGavick Nanstad Winery to Nanstad Winery. More--
